Every product guide and comparison on The Snooze Lab is built the same way. Here’s the process, in plain language.

What our research includes

  • Public specifications. We compare manufacturers’ published specs, features, materials, warranties, and prices.
  • Customer-feedback patterns. We read publicly available customer reviews and look for consistent patterns — recurring praise and recurring complaints — rather than cherry-picking single opinions.
  • Reputable sleep guidance. Where health topics are involved, we rely on published guidance from reputable sleep-health organizations and peer-reviewed research, and we cite sources.
  • Fit for real situations. We evaluate who a product may suit — and who may want a different option — instead of declaring one product universally best.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t run a testing laboratory, and we don’t claim hands-on testing that didn’t happen.
  • We don’t have doctors on staff, and we don’t label content “doctor approved.”
  • We don’t publish fake ratings, invented review counts, or made-up testimonials.
  • We don’t let commission rates decide our recommendations.
  • We don’t use fake scarcity, countdown timers, or invented sale prices.

How affiliate links fit in

When you buy through some links on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are developed before affiliate availability is considered, and we’ll recommend products we can’t earn from when they’re the better choice. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

Products change and research evolves. Each guide shows when it was last updated, and when we get something wrong we fix it rather than quietly deleting it.
