This page is not a substitute for legal advice. It's a plain-language, accurate description of this site's current, actual practices — not a guarantee of legal compliance in every jurisdiction. If you need a legally reviewed privacy policy for your own situation, consult a qualified attorney.

The short version

As of the date above, The Snooze Lab is a static website with no user accounts, no payment processing, no contact form, and no analytics or advertising scripts running anywhere on the site. We do not set cookies. We do not knowingly collect personal information through this site at all right now. This policy will be updated, with a new "last updated" date, whenever that changes.

Information we don’t collect (currently)

  • No analytics or tracking scripts. This site currently runs no analytics platform, advertising pixel, or third-party tracking script of any kind. We have not yet decided which analytics approach, if any, we’ll add at launch — see the note below.
  • No cookies. This site does not set cookies for tracking, advertising, or preferences.
  • No accounts, no payments. There is no way to create an account or make a payment on this site.
  • No contact form or newsletter signup collects information. The newsletter field shown on the homepage is disabled and does not submit anywhere. OurContact page lists a plain email address (a mailto:link) rather than a form — your email client handles sending the message, so this site itself never receives, stores, or processes anything you send.
  • No health records. This site publishes general educational content about sleep; it does not collect, store, or process any individual’s health information.

What a web server sees, by default

Like effectively any website, the hosting provider that serves these pages to your browser generates standard server logs as a normal part of delivering the page — things like your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is a function of how the web works, not something The Snooze Lab configures or reviews individually. Once a hosting provider is selected for this site, this section will name that provider and link to its own privacy documentation.

Sections that depend on choices we haven’t made yet

The items below are honestly unresolved. Each will be rewritten with specifics — naming the actual service used and what it collects — once a real decision is made, not before.

  • Analytics. If we add an analytics service in the future, this section will name it, describe what it collects (e.g., aggregate page-view counts), whether it uses cookies, and link to that provider’s own privacy policy.
  • Advertising. This site does not currently run any advertising network or ad tracking. If that changes, this section will be updated before any such script goes live.
  • Contact form. If a contact form is added, this section will describe what information it collects (e.g., name, email, message) and how long it’s retained.
  • Newsletter. If the newsletter signup is activated, this section will name the email service provider used and link to its privacy policy.

Affiliate links and third-party sites

Some pages on this site may contain affiliate links to retailers or brands, as described in our affiliate disclosure. When you click a link that takes you to another website, that site’s own privacy policy and data practices apply — not this one. Affiliate networks may use their own cookies or tracking parameters once you leave this site; The Snooze Lab does not control those and doesn’t receive personal information about you as a result of an affiliate click. As of the date above, no affiliate links are live anywhere on this site.

We do not sell or share information

We do not currently collect personal information through this site, so there is currently nothing of that kind to sell or share — and we do not intend to sell personal information if that changes in the future.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If what this site actually does changes — a new analytics tool, a working contact form, a newsletter provider — this page will be updated to match, and the "last updated" date above will change. We won’t silently start doing something this page says we don’t do.
